Weird patches on legs (pics)

So I have had these red scaly itchy patches on my legs been to the doctor 3 times now given anti fungals and steroids the last time I went but nothings helping, they itch so bad it keeps me up at night

I am going to go back to doctors but wondered if anyone had any ideas

Looks a bit like pityriasis versicolour which is indeed a fungal skin condition that is a fucker to get rid of.

Try washing in ketaconazole

What causes pityriasis versicolour?

It’s a yeast/fungus.
Im not actually so sure about the red bits, I just have paler lighter round patches on my torso.
what has the GP said? Maybe you need a referral to a dermatologist

The gp thought it was fungal but after using the creams for months and no change he change to steroid cream thinking excema I think but still no change and the my entire leg itches not just the patches which is weird

That looks a bit like a yeast-fungus thing maybe ringworm? An anti fungal cream will sort it out. I had similar patches on my upper arms and found that a dab of Canesten (the only anti fungal I had in the house!!) helped...

Yeah, I have tried fungal cream but doesn't seem to do anything, it's itchiest at night, and the sun seems to aggravate the patches to look more red and angry

I think I had ringworm and couldn't get any of the creams to clear it up at all until I tried this

cleared it in a week of twice daily application. Steroid creams that I would normally use on my eczema made it more itchy and feel on fire.
