Can someone explain this email

This is the reply from the council regarding my current housing issues:

Can someone help explain this please it's the weekend so they won't reply.

In addition to this, the Housing Supply Manager is looking to nominate her for a new build property but have not had confirmation on a completion date. The first step will be carrying out verification and then we can look to nominate her but as I have said we won't be able to give an indication of when the property will be ready as yet. The lettings team will be in touch with Melissa shortly though.

They're going to put your name forward for a new build but it's not built yet and they don't have a date when it will be ready.

They can't put your name forward until the building is finished and they'll let you know when they have a date for that.

Looks like they're going to put your name down for a new build home as soon as they've had a date confirmed for completion of that home (the date it will be ready to move in).

ErinAoife · 02/06/2023 21:40

My understanding of it is that you are going to be assigned a new build which are under construction but they don't know when it is going to be complete.

Robinonmybirdfeeder · 02/06/2023 21:42

You’ve left your name in the last paragraph, you might want to ask MNHQ to remove it

Thank you. Technically if I'm being nominated then I may not even get the property anyway!

If it’s anything like my council the new builds they were clearing the land for in 2019 still haven’t been started. The plans for the development were put out to view at the same time… no idea if it’s going ahead. The empty flats for demolition now have immigrants in because it’s cheaper than the hotels they were paying for. It’s a big shit show
