Routine Appt after blood tests

I had a full full blood count and thyroid function tests done because of my short cycles (21-24 days but also had an 11 day cycle in Jan and a 16 day last month). No other symptoms. Bloods were done on Tuesday and I had a phone call Thursday to ask me to phone to make a routine appt.

All receptionist told me was that it was routine so nothing to concerned about but next appt is 9th of June. I completely understand that it’s routine but I have anxiety and I’m really struggling with worrying about what it is. Especially because we are hoping to ttc this month (and until now haven’t been trying but also not preventing). It’s just causing me so much anxiety wondering.

Does anyone have any idea what sorts of things are likely to be classes as routine?

Hey,
I understand your worry. But if it's just routine it's likely to be something like a slightly low vitamin/ iron.

Or maybe the results were normal so they haven't found what could be causing the short cycle and are going to discuss further tests with you.

Anything more serious would of been addressed much quicker.

Wishing you luck

Do you have the NHS app? You might be able to see your test results on there.

Do you have the NHS app? I think most surgeries put all the test results in your online record.

When I get the results for mine, the lab also lists the 'normal' range.

It's possible they didn't find anything amiss on your tests and want the appointment to discuss further investigation. Routine appointment suggests they didn't find anything majorly concerning in your results.
