Pink discharge after period

My last period finished around 4 days ago, last night I noticed pink discharge after I'd been to the loo.
This morning it's still there, I've never had this happen before. I'm mid 40's so probably peri.

What could it be? Is it a peri thing? Or is it something I need to contact my GP about. It's almost light very light bleeding.

Typo in last sentence - should say it's almost like light bleeding the kind you'd get when your period is about to start. I'm cramping mildly too.

I've put a pad on and there's nothing on it mainly just when I wipe. But still feel crampy

Happens to me sometimes - there's a meme about it. Something about how you think your period has ended and then a day later you wipe and it's pink - it's totally normal but always get checked if it'll make you feel more comfortable. Hormones are funny things!

Now fresh red blood on pad? Never had this before my period ended on Friday/ Saturday

The spotting carried on for about 10 days after my period should have ended. GP said to go back if it happens again but is possibly peri. I'm now a week later for my period so I'm guessing it's the start of things changing me
