Sore throat and bumpy spots feeling on roof of mouth

This is what my ds has. He also gets hayfever at this time of year. Could the two be connected? We are waiting results from strep throat swab. Just wondering what else it could

The only time I have had sore blisters and spots on the roof of my mouth at the back was when I had Covid.

I was thinking strep as soon as I started reading and before you mentioned the test. When did you do it? Hopefully it will be dealt with rapidly and you’ll get him antibiotics asap. It sounds like it is. Two of mine had it and those were their initial symptoms. My youngest started with a rash as we waited for the doctor.

Doctor has prescribed antibiotics just in case symptoms deteriorate but without confirmation it is strep I am reluctant to start them. Test was on Friday so hopefully results soon. Thanks I will read that other thread
