Help - lump appeared on arm

lumphelp · 29/05/2023 21:39

This lump has appeared on my daughter’s arm/shoulder today. She said it’s not hurting but appeared after doing some gym moves.

She can move it fine. It feels fairly hard.

Any ideas?

Gp to get it checked.

second getting it checked. It is rare and unlikely but worth checking with doctor that they don’t think it could be anything more serious (Ewing sarcoma can present in this way in young people)

Thanks couldn’t get in minor injuries tonight, so will try the docs tomorrow x

I'd be concerned it might be a ruptured biceps tendon if it appeared after a gym session. They look like popeye

Looking at google images it does look a bit like that but it also says it should hurt, which it doesn’t 🤷‍♀️

I've seen someone at the hospital I work at with that & they said it didn't hurt🤷 either way I'm afraid a trip to A & E is required, try early tomorrow, its usually quieter in the morning💐

Went to GP who didn’t know and was sent for a x ray. X ray showed a growth but they wouldn’t say anything there, just that GP will get back to us. It may be a bone growth that’s been there for a while and we just haven’t noticed.
