Found a tick on me

We went for a walk yesterday in the woods, tonight I had a shower and noticed something black on my ankle, I went to scrap it off but it wouldn't come off.
I used some tweezers and when I pulled it off it looked like little tiny minute legs, so I think it was the tiniest tick.
I'm soooo worried I'm going to get Lyme disease and die 🙈 I have health anxiety and I'm really spiralling with this.
What shall I do? There's no rash and I feel fine.

A rash ( Google it apparently looks like a bullseye rash ) would come if the tick was a carrier.
If it makes you feel better dh & I have had a few over the years as walkers and have never had any develop into a rash. If you have any Savlon or similar put some on.
keep an eye on the area and make an appointment with your GP if anything comes of it.
Treatment is antibiotics.

I had the same a few weeks ago, never got the bullseye like rash, and nothing came of it. If you have no rash develop I think you’ll be fine! If you do just book to see GP tomorrow x

If a rash develops go to your GP, otherwise you have nothing to worry about. I live in the Highlands and have pulled tens (if not over a hundred) ticks of my husband and children.

I have removed 6 from myself already this year 😬. I walk a lot and pick them up every year, I have got used to removing them but this year seems to be particularly bad for them. The chances of getting Lymes is tiny, very few ticks carry it. Just keep an eye on the area where it was. I have never had a bulls eye rash but I always keep a close eye after removing a tick.

I am sure you will be fine. As others have, I always get a few every year, they are in my garden. And so far I have been OK. I did get antibiotics once, as a precaution, as I removed one badly and left the head in.

However, just to add, more important symptoms are flu like, muscle aches and pains, brain fog, and generally feeling unwell. Most people actually don't get a rash with Lyme. DH had it, and didn't get a rash.
