Low ferritin

Does anyone have experience of this? It’s the only iron-related result I have, and I’m confused if it means iron deficiency definitively or other tests are needed for sure. Also confused as to what exactly causes it…

Hi, I had a full
Blood count done the other day which said my iron levels were a little low but not a cause for concern but my consultant ordered a ferritin test, she said it's your iron stores, and if that's low then it's like anemia, tired ect.
Mine came back as 6 which she said was really low i was already on ferrous sulphate for the fbc but she said if the ferritin comes back low I may need an iron infusion. Haven't had a convo with her yet just saw on badger notes about ferritin levels about an o

Yes, ferritin is the main test for iron as it's your iron stores. What did it come out as?
