Chicken Pox or HFMD

Hi, my 1 year old has been unwell and has broken out in blisters all over body. Except for torso. Dr suspects chicken pox but everyone else is saying HFMD. Has anyone had similar experiences?

I think it’s HF and Mouth. I can’t blisters.

I agree that it looks much more like hfm. We had a misdiagnosis the first time DD had that too.

Definitely HFM - i'm actually a bit shocked a GP would get this wrong!! HFM blisters have a greyish appearance and don't scab - it's a bit of a myth that they only appear on the hands, feet and mouth - they definitely spread to legs, arms and nappy area. Chicken pox blisters are more yellow and crust over.

HFM exactly same thing happened to me with my daughter. 2 doctors said pox one said roseola or something and then one said hand foot and mouth. She only had them on her hands feet mouth and genitals so was pretty sure it was hfm!
