Herniated Disc and Nerve Pain

Oh my goodness! How utterly miserable and debilitating this condition is.

Just for reference, I am not in the UK.

I’ve been suffering with this for the last three weeks. In the beginning the nerve pain was absolute torture. I couldn’t walk or sit up and I had to be sedated to have an MRI. I was given medication that just didn’t work at all.

Fast forward to now and I am slightly better in that I do not have as much nerve pain and I can hobble around without having to put too much pressure on my leg. I do still have pain in my leg and buttock but not as horrendous as before. I am doing a bit of physio and some days I feel ok and other days I feel sore. I tried some other movements today (thanks YouTube) and now my leg aches again.

Over where I am they are very much for operating and don’t really encourage physio. Also, has anyone had any localised injections to help with the pain?

I just desperately need some reassurance that I will eventually get back to normal and I won’t have to endure this misery much longer.

thank you for reading my woe-is-me- post 🙄
