He has a runny nose, occasional cough, breathing fast and very hot (just taken it, it's 38.9 and he had calpol at 7am.
He's distressed and miserable, having some breastfeeds but can't breathe very well through nose so hard for him.
I'm carrying him about all the time which is hard as ds1 has half term too.
Do we do doctors or will that be a waste of time/ make him feel worse unnecessarily?
What do you usually do?

Am panicking about temp, that's the main thing

thankyou

i have a bulb thing but my friend puts a flannel over her baby boy's face and sucks it, she says it works well and nothing really comes through.

I used saline drops with dd1

was worth it mainly for the look of disgust from her baby face saying WTF ARE YOU DOING!!??

if in doubt, get em checked out is my motto

you will know if he needs a doc

infant olbas oil is fab for helping with stuffy noses.

chuck a couple of drops in a bowl of hot water

everything will stink of menthol bit it works a treat especially in a small bedroom

He is feeding again and half asleep...just biding time and see if temp goes down a bit.

Thankyou everyone. I feel a bit less panicky now.
