Buggeration!!!!

I am almost 100% certain DS2 has Chicken pox. he has been under the weather for a couple of days, quiet, tummy ache, cold symptoms and lacking in energy which is really unlike him. He has a few blistery spots and other fainter spots on his face, back and tummy.

DS4 is sue a hypospadias repair op on Fri - the third attempt at it as the other two were cancelled at last minute. His surgeon will phone this pm as the nurse thought that as he been exposed to the chicken pox virus he might not be admitted. Oh poo. We were all pysched up and ready for it.

They have cancelled his surgery.

I so want to get this out of the way.

Understand how dangerous Chicken pox can be to immune suppressed patients though.

You poor thing. Cancelled ops are horrid, it takes so much to build yourself up. Any idea of when it might be rescheduled?

MehgaLegs · 21/02/2008 13:37

Hopefully he'll be on the list for next month - thing is he may well have Chicken pox himself by then.

Poor DS2 meanwhile is spotastic and very itchy.

oh dear. stupid germs! I hope he is clear next time round.

ladytophamhatt · 21/02/2008 22:26

oh no mega!!

ds4 is scabby and flaky now(he feels liek he's been pebbledashed with so many scabs) so it could all be done and over with for all yours by next month.

Fingers crossed.

Did all of yours have it LTH?

I knew I shouldn't have chatted with you - you sent me cyber pox .

The other three are far too healthy looking for my liking - I hope they all get it at the same time.

DS2 had a bad night. DH was kicked out and DS2 came in with me - he has a really sore throat and spots on spots on spots.

I knew this had to be you Mehgalegs, without even opening the thread. How extremely frustrating for you.

WRT catching chicken pox, when mine had it (in the days when I only had 3 children), the eldest got it in time for half-term and the other 2 came out with it at exactly the same time 13 days later. I didn't get the impression there was any way one family member could get it without passing it on to the others so I am fairly sure your others will get it.

My youngest has still not had it....maybe posting here will mean you pass the infection on to him?!

ladytophamhatt · 22/02/2008 13:30

ds1+2 both had it when i was Pg with Ds3.

ds3 had it then exactly 2 weeks later ds4s spots appeared, ds3 breezed though it compared to little ds4 though.
