What is this weird patch thing?

I've had this recurring small circular spot/wound/ have no idea in my ankle for the past few years. It's a little better over winter but gets worse as the weather gets better. When it's not a sore type area it's really rough skin.

Quite bizarrely my son has just suddenly started getting it and we both have it just on our right ankle bone and no where else. Very odd!

It doesn't really bother me in that it hurts but it's not nice to have in show all the time.

Does anyone else have similar?

It looks like you’ve rubbed it on something, like a shoe/boot. Have you tried taking it off with a pumice stone, or used some foot cream with urea.

I've got something similar which is a dermatofibroma. Harmless but can get irritated

I’ve used a pumice but it just creates a sore. Have tried a few creams but will try one with urea. The weird thing is, no matter what I wear it’s always there. It’s at its worst over spring and summer when I’m not wearing boots so I’m flummoxed

Actinic keratosis maybe, usually caused by the sun

I’ve no idea unfortunately.
