No mayo.

A bit nervous. Has anyone else ever done this? Did you die?

yes

FeebasAquarium · 26/05/2023 14:34

The ones that died are probably not going to answer…

You’ll be fine btw

Conkerqueen · 26/05/2023 14:34

I wouldn’t worry

arethereanyleftatall · 26/05/2023 14:38

Genuinely, if you really think that, please make a doctors appointment to discuss anxiety. Kindly, that is absolutely ridiculous.

Beamur · 26/05/2023 14:40

Just cheese? Fine.
Pork pie? Death is imminent.

DramaAlpaca · 26/05/2023 14:41

Calm down! Nothing nasty is going to happen to you. Honestly, it's not.

Spicypeanuts · 26/05/2023 14:41

It's the homemade mayo from unvaccinated eggs that you need to worry about.

You'll probably be fine

Abra1t · 26/05/2023 14:42

Refrigerating cheese is a fairly recent phenomenon. Room temperature is fine unless you live somewheee very hot.

Plottingspringescape · 26/05/2023 14:43

Best get your affairs in order. I reckon you'll be dead within the hour. (not really)

I'm exaggerating! I more mean "did you get food poisoning that made you long for death"?

OP posts:
DitherDother · 26/05/2023 14:45

Cheese, pickle, bread, butter, all best stored out of the fridge

Exhater · 26/05/2023 14:45

Food poisoning from cheese?

GiraffeLaSophie · 26/05/2023 14:45

Unrefrigerated cheese is a key staple of the DofE diet. You’ll be absolutely fine.

ReallyShouldBeDoingSomethingElse · 26/05/2023 14:47

You'll be fine. All the ingredients I can think of are quite stable out of the fridge.

If it was a supermarket sandwich they're so full of preservatives it'd probably be safe for twice as long.

Grumpigal · 26/05/2023 14:48

Last week I ate mozzarella that was 20 days over the “eat before” date. It was sealed, had been refrigerated the whole time and I was cooking it on a pizza anyway.

Was great!

RoseAdage · 26/05/2023 14:49

I don’t keep cheese in the fridge, am still alive 🤷‍♀️

Lcb123 · 26/05/2023 14:49

Surely a joke. I haven’t checked a Use by date in years. Still going strong.

JulieHoney · 26/05/2023 14:49

What part of your cheese ploughmans are you worried about? Why would it give you food poisoning?

lljkk · 26/05/2023 14:50

I have probably many times (without ill effect) eaten a cheese & pickle sandwich that had been festering in my hot car & kayak for 2+ days. One gets hungry & unfussy on the river.

Haywirecity · 26/05/2023 14:55

I died. But I was alright the next day.

Ilikealltings · 26/05/2023 15:04

I know someone who ate a greggs sausage roll that had been sitting on the dashboard of a car for weeks. They didn't die.

AlligatorPsychopath · 26/05/2023 15:06

It's a fucking cheese sandwich. Your understanding of food hygiene and nutrition does not appear to be the best.

ThePoshUns · 26/05/2023 15:07

The cheese is ok but don't eat the ploughman. Canabalism is so unattractive.

CountessBathorysBeautySecrets · 26/05/2023 15:15

Your posts seem faint. I suspect you've already passed over to the next realm.

VillageLite · 26/05/2023 15:15

What do you think people did before domestic fridges?

Neither of my parents had a fridge at home growing up.

Cheese doesn’t need to be in the fridge anyway, and nor does pickle, bread or butter, so you’ll be grand.
