Ate a cheddar ploughman's sandwich that had been unrefrigerated overnight

A bit nervous. Has anyone else ever done this? Did you die?

I have probably many times (without ill effect) eaten a cheese & pickle sandwich that had been festering in my hot car & kayak for 2+ days. One gets hungry & unfussy on the river.

I plan to make cheese sandwiches tonight that will be my hiking lunch pack for the next 3 days 😆

If ever I'm going to take a sandwich with me on a long unrefrigerated day out, it will be a cheese one.

Hard cheeses are supposed to be served at room temperature, I believe.
I have thawed and reference pork chips and chicken in the past. I'm not dead(I don't think)😅

You will certainly die. In years gone by ploughmen always had a mini fridge strapped to the oxen to keep the Branston pickle at optimum temperature.

WTF? There's zero meat in it. Zero. So it's either furry with mould and goes in the bin or it's fine to eat (even if a bit stale or wilted)
