So about 3 weeks ago, I was diagnosed with a respiratory tract infection. Sore throat, headaches, fatigue, shivers, high temps, you name it. Doctor signed me off work for a week. I felt better so I returned. Yesterday morning, I woke up with a tickly cough which developed into a nasty one during the day. Again, I was hot/cold, headache, just general ly feeling like crap by the time it came to bedtime. Didn't sleep great. I'm still feeling crap today. I had to go out for an appointment but I've been in bed since I came home. My friend said I should have got an antibitoic on my first visit to the doctor but he said it wouldn't work. I googled and they said antibiotics don't work on throat infections anyway. He just said general pain killer, rest, fluids and gargling salt water. I'm just curious as to why it has come back again but this time, instead of a sore throat, I have the cough but pretty much the same symptoms again. Should I go back to the doctor or just let it run its course? Luckily, I'm off work tomorrow.
