Mri tomorrow

I am off for an mri tomorrow with buscopan and something else. I saw a private consultant last week as I have been struggling with my bladder and bowels and when she tested me with a pin I had much less sensation on one side of my body and no moveable muscles in my back passage.
She said they would look at my lower back first as an obviousstarting point. Has anyone had anything similar? I have had an mri before but never with anything injected.

The buscopan is to stop your bowel moving so the images are sharp. They’ll probably also give an injection of a substance that shows up the blood vessels. (They’ll refer to it as ‘contrast’)The radiographer should explain everything fully when you arrive and check you don’t have any allergies etc that prevents you from having the injections. You shouldn’t get any side effects and be fine afterwards. Hope the scan goes well!
