Is this teething or is it a 'bohn's nodule' / 'epstein's pearl'???

Ok, so...
DS is 11 weeks. His teeth look pretty clear under his gums. He's started dribbling lots, and been sick a lot more than usual over the last week, and he's chewing his hands loads. Yesterday my mum noticed a little hads white lump on the front of his gum at the bottom - not the top ridge of the gum, the front, maybe 1/3 of the way down. ShE thought he was teething, but urban dryand just helpfully pointed out it could be a bohn's nodule or epstein's pearl. I've googled and can't find much info - what is this, and how do I know if it's this or teething? (clueless 1st timer!)

because it went away after a few days, but the teething symptoms continued until ds was about 24 weeks or so, when his first tooth finally appeared. the Ashtons and Parsons powders were a lifesaver, but not sure you can give them as early as 11 weeks.
