Floradix supplement

Hi all, I've previously been anaemic, and feel rubbish again, like in the past. I stopped taking the ferrous fumarate tablets I was prescribed because they caused awful constipation and nausea. I've come across floradix liquid supplement and wondered if anyone has taken it with any success, and also is it more gentle on your stomach and digestive system?

I've never taken it in liquid form but the tablets are very good - much better that iron tablets I've taken previously. Apparently the liquid tastes really nice.

I take Floradix tablets instead of "ferrous whatever its called" as it makes me very nauseous.

It keeps me feeling "alright". I'll never be Iron rich as I have an issue with absorption even after an Iron infusion... But Floradix is actually very efficient for the availability, taste and effect!

😊 my tummy is much happier on it!

I use the liquid. Great stuff. I notice when I don’t take it. Easy on the stomach too.

Thanks all I think I'll buy some!

I use it on my period. Also spatone throughout the month.

Floradix may have fewer side effects because it has 10mg of elemental iron and ferrous fumarate has 33 mg.
Although it is more likely to be taken because of this so this likely offsets the fact it is not very iron rich

BetterYou do mouth spray which has 10mg iron but skips any gut issues

The floradix bottles don't last that long if you need to boost rather than maintain levels and are tricky to pour without spillage. It's an acquired taste but I don't mind it sort of fruity/herb licorice maybe.

You can try using iron pans, too.
