Propranolol for headaches

Has anyone taken propranolol for headaches?
Has it made you gain weight? I've just been prescribed it but I'm trying to loose abit of weight that I have put on after starting HRT.

Yes very recently.

HRT was causing my migraines, I was put on PP and I also stopped the HRT and I'm headache and migraine free. Weight stable at mo.

Aah that's good, I've always been a headachy person, but more so just lately.
Tried with no HRT but still having daily headaches.

I’ve been on propranolol for almost a year and not had any change to my weight - I take 10mg twice a day to prevent migraines if that makes any difference.

i take 40mg 3x a day for headaches, no issues

Thanks for your replies. I'll give them a go. I'm away for a few days next week, so may try them when I get back , as I've read that initial side effects aren't too good.

80mg here and no weight gain but do have dizziness

20mg twice a day for palpitations since January. Weight gain 3 pounds.
