3 month old nose bleed?

my 3 month old son has cold at the moment and i put some drops up his nose to help clear it. anyway, his nose was streaing and blood coming out with his snot - just a little bit of blood. it could be that i caught him with the plastic bit to put the drops in. he has had the blood with snot for a couple of days. do you think i should wait and see if it heals? what do you reckon?

Maybe as he's only 12 weeks, pop him to the GP just to check it out. Wouldn't have thought you'd catch him with the plastic bit.

My DS is 12 weeks old and often has blood in snot and one morning had an actual nose bleed when he woke up in the morning. I was ready to panic at the sight of the blood but DH (sensible and rational as ever) logged onto the NHS website and found some good info. Apparently it is quite common in babies because of the delicate blood vessels in their nose. I would recommend logging onto the NHS website and taking a look for yourself. It'll probably give you peace of mind and also explains when you should seek medical attention/advice.
