Can I drink while taking amoxicillin?

It’s my birthday over the weekend and was hoping to have a glass of wine (or 3!) while out for dinner. But yesterday I was given a 7 day course of 500mg amoxicillin for an inflamed gum.
I’ve just read the leaflet and it doesn’t mention alcohol 🤔
Is it worth having a drink or just abstaining?

Moderate drinking is fine, but you don't want to miss or throw up doses.

Oh I have no intention of throwing up! That’s certainly not how I want to celebrate my birthday 😆

If a couple of drinks won’t affect anything then that’s great.

I think there's only a couple of antibiotics where you need to avoid alcohol
