Left arm pain

Hi desperate for some advice as I'm feeling panicky.
I've had a horrible pain in my left arm for about 2 hours now, it starts in the upper arm and goes down to the wrist. It's like a painful ache but does hurt quite a lot. It hurts a lot more when I move it or twist my arm. Does anyone know what this could possible be? I'm not experiencing anything else other than a blocked nose but since the beginning of the year I have had chest pain and breathlessness many times ( but none for a few weeks now!) and had lots of checks but nothings come back as anything! Thanks so much for any advice x

Aw poor you, can you try the 111 symptom checker?

This could very well be cardiac pain. Can you get to A&E? With your history of chest pain and breathlessness I would want an ECG while you are experiencing the pain.

I don't think I could as I don't drive and partner won't take me as He thinks I worry too much I have no family or friends really so the only time I could is in the day whilst the children are at school😔 I have a 24 hour ecg booked at the end of the month so I'm hoping to get some answers from that as all other ecg came back clear even during episodes of pain! I have no pain in the shoulder it's literally upper arm down to wrist it's doesn't feel numb or anything but like I said the pain is quite bad I've had ibuprofen already and it hasn't seemed to help either. Just at a Lost on what to do!

Phone 111 Op,
It could lots of things from 'just' a trapped nerve (I say just, because it really hurts, and most over the counter pain relief will do beggar all for nerve pain, but it's not life threatening, just extremely painful.) to something more complex. Given your history of breathlessness and chest pain, it could be something that needs attention, so either call 111 or do the online form.
Oh and while you are at it ditch the partner...who sounds as lovely as a piece of old crusty ear wax.
Hope you get some answers soon.

Please ring 111. If they say that you need to be seen could your partner be persuaded to take you then?
