Possible DVT?

Made an appointment with my doctor and seeing him tomorrow afternoon. Received a call today from Dr asking what is the purpose of the visit. Explained that for the last year I have noticed a sizeable in my legs in that the my right leg is quite bigger than the left. For the past few months by the end of the day it is considerably swollen and feels very tight. No pain or heat, just uncomfortable and very much aware that my leg is "there".

Anyway after speaking to the doctor he wanted me to go today, I couldn't, so he's seeing me first thing in the morning. He asked if I was breathless, I said no, but DH said he has noticed me struggle more if I do to much. I'm also retaining water a lot in the day, despite drinking about approx 4 or 5 bottles of water a day (750mls).

Appointment has been made for the morning for blood tests and then seeing the doctor straight after. It's got me a bit worried I suppose - anyone else had something like this and it's been OK?

I have had a DVT twice in the same leg. Both times my leg was hot and red and very swollen and incredibly painful. It's possible that you may have had a DVT that has travelled upwards in the past.
I now have crap circulation in my leg, which means it aches sometimes and is permanently fatter and occasionally feels tight.

Thank you for your response. I can't think of a time where my leg has felt painful or been hot. It's just getting bigger, and feels tight, sometimes to the point where my leg actually feels numb more than anything. It feels odd

I had a DVT in my leg. It was the throbbing pain that made me contact my GP. The pain through the night was the worst or when I wasn’t active. I had no heat or redness which some people get, so I guess everyone is different. It’s good that you are getting it checked out and it will be peace of mind for you.

The 2nd time I actually left it a week before I saw my Dr, needless to say, when I went they told me to go to hospital straight away. Having been there, done that, bought the t-shirt once before I didn't want to acknowledge that I'd got yet another DVT. 10 freaking years and after a bout of pneumonia.
These days I make sure I move around more than I did.

I have exactly this. Like a pressure/tightness deep internally in my calf. Had it for years. However mine doesn’t measure larger. Dvt was ruled out. I do have Ehler Danlos syndrome so they’ve put it down to some odd symptom of that.
