Ear plugged after a cold ? Can’t hear well. Will it come back ?

I had a cold like a week ago it was a very bad one and iv still got it now. Each time I blow my nose a lot if coming away generally green thick mucus. Yesterday while blowing my nose I went extremely dizzy and fell over ! My ear was then making gurgling noises (the left one) and then last night I went to bed and woke up this morning and I can’t hear very well, my ear hurts if I swallow, does this need to be seen by a dr or is it normal after a bad cold ?

It's normal. If it continues try a few drops of warm olive oil to soothe it - then gentle cleaning in case there's a build up of wax.

If you actually fell over, you need to get medical advice.
Having a blocked ear is quite common, it clears, but your balance being affected is potentially serious.

@wildfirewonder it was only when blowing my nose in my bathroom I didn’t feel dizzy before or after it just came on suddenly when blowing my nose and I fell over in my bathroom it lasted maybe 30 seconds

I've had the same thing following my 3rd round of covid. I am now having gromits. It's horrendous!
