Ibs?

So last year around august I developed stomach issues, I couldn't eat without suffering severe cramping and it was a consistent pain, eased off if I didn't eat for a few hours but was still there and was horrific, I also had bad nausea and burping a lot, doctors thought I had pylori and did a stool sample which was clear, tested for something else aswell which was also clear. Doctor said it could have been ibs but it lasted until end of September before it went away for good and I assumed maybe it was a bad stomach bug or something! Weirdly enough it is back and it is the exact same stomach cramping as before, it is SO painful. I have took buscopan but it hasn't really helped, didn't really help last time either tbh. I don't want to contact my doctor for this just yet as I have been bothering them all year so far with persistent vaginal thrush which I have now actually had to go private for and it is being dealt with, thankfully! But this is just like one thing after another, I am also struggling to go toilet which isn't usual for me as I go everyday! I will also add my mums side has ibs badly, doctor did say at the time it could have been ibs due to the family history aswell, just seems odd how it has now come back out of nowhere :( does ibs last for weeks at a time though and constantly there in the background?

Is your cramping upper or lower abdomen? Trying to work out of its more stomach or intestinal. IBS isn’t really stomach per se, more intestine and colon issue. If it’s stomach it could be gastritis. I’m going through similar, started a thread today about pancreatic cancer fears (anxious). Obviously not suggesting you have anything like that, and hope I don’t either. Gastritis can come in flairs from what I’ve read, with periods of remission often for no apparent reason. Do you get any back pain with it?

It's both! Middle and lower, it alternates..it's so frustrating as I woke up feeling fine and then about 10 minutes later (I passed wind sorry tmi) and then the belly pain came back. Now I have it again currently in the middle of my stomach cramping:( it feels like I really need to go to the toilet aswell but when I try and go nothing comes just, again passing wind. :(

Just researched gastritis, it says stress can be a factor...I have been extremely stressed for the past few weeks, maybe it is that!

Sorry forgot to add, I don't have any back pain, just stomach pain but it does radiate from middle to bottom of my stomach, I had bad reflux the other day aswell which is unusual for me

I'm not sure if it could be celiac disease as I eat gluten fine most times, the last time I had a flare of this was around 8/9 months ago
