I have symptoms of colon cancer- so scared

I have NC'd.

For the past 9 months ish I've had really bad bowel movements- hurts a lot in my stomach, most stools are loose/diarrhoea and the last two months I've had both bright red blood and dark blood mixed in with the stool (sorry for the tmi). I went to the doctors who wasn't bothered, went back and they agreed to run some tests but it was a few days before I was moving so didn't have time, the new GP isn't that bothered but I'm so worried- does anyone have any experience of this or advice/wisdom?

I've just had a cancerous lump removed from my arm after the GP said there was nothing to worry about. Thankfully removed it all.

I have just had similar symptoms (change in bowel habits for months annd then more recently blood) and doctor did a FIT and calprotectin test on samples of poo, both positive so referred under two week window for colonoscopy. I had a large polyp and minor signs of diverticulitis. I think you should demand your doctor do the above tests and ask them why they aren’t referring you under two week pathway. Ask them to put it in writing, they may refer you then.
