Hi everyone, I have my eight week post natal check on Thursday and am just wondering if anyone can tell me what to expect (translation: do I need to shave hehe)? I know my daughter will be checked by the doctor and given her first round of jabs, but what does the check for me involve?

DH (is a GP) says no examination of mum's bits unless there is a problem. No shave required....would you really shave for the benefit of your GP?

Thanks for letting me know! And yes, I do shave for the GP. Even being in labour didn't stop me!

Really basic stuff, making sure you are both well, still BF, BP check, if periods have returned, how you are feeling.
Nothing to worry about at all. I hate going to the GP, even if i go with an ear infection always think i'll end up on the couch..eek!

LOL! Thanks Katie. I must be the same. I'm paranoid that I'll go to the doctor and s/he will need to examine me! I hate that!

Me too and I'm a nurse, i should really grow up!!
Sure everything will be great.
My doctor, said, 'well done' to me and i burst into tears because noone had said anything like that to me.
First weeks are so hard aren't they, hope you are enjoying it
