Shoes after bunion surgery help?!

Hi all

I had bunion surgery 5 weeks ago and luckily have recovered really well. I've been heel walking comfortably since week two and have been back at work on limited hours this week.

I have my 6 week check up and x-ray with the consultant next week where hopefully I will be allowed out of my walking shoe and back into "normal shoes" but as my foot is still swollen I think I'll need to get a pair (or two) to get me through until things settle down.

For those who've had the surgery what did you wear once the walking shoe/cast etc was off? Any particular brands, anything I should be considering or avoiding?

I'd be interested to know what shoes you went for as I'm 3 weeks post bunion surgery and now able to weight bare with normal shoes. The problem is my foot is still swollen and won't fit into my current shoes. Thanks 😊

I was in a big bandage for 6 weeks, and then back into normal trainers.

You may not want to hear this but crocs.

Oh really, thank you. I do already have a pair for the garden. 😄
