My GP receptionist has called to ask me to come in for a face to face appointment with my GP (after a previous phone call with them and stool samples given in about 2 weeks ago).
I had only requested the results of my stool sample via the NHS app. NHS app shows ‘negative for XYZ’ ‘normal’ for everything else. So, surely everything is fine.
BUT why would the GP need to see me face to face if test results were normal?
I have on-off loose stools, some stomach aches. But i assumed IBS. Worse with anxiety/stress. Healthy diet, no alcohol, very active.
I’m not worried as such, but just curious to know why i would be asked to come in? The receptionist said ‘maybe to feel your abdomen’ …???
I’m grateful to be seen but… why?
