Sweating and sertraline?

For the past few days I’ve been sweating like hell. I’m sat here right now feeling and looking like we’re having a heatwave despite it being a little cold and raining where I am. Sweat is literally pouring down my face. I have recently upped the dosage from 50mg to 100mg and wondering if this could be the cause?

Yes, I had sweats with sertraline - especially overnight. It did get better but didn't completely go away with time. On balance, I think it's worth the positive impact sertraline had on my life. Best of luck!

This was why I quit sertraline, the sweating was embarrassing and made me feel horrible

Probably ! Exact same thing happened to me when I switched from 50 to 100 only I was getting them at night, awful !!
I went onto fluoxetine but the sweating never stopped, it just wasn't as bad. Turns out the fluoxetine has not agreed with me mentally and I'm going back on the sertraline. My therapist said usually the higher the dose you go the less the side effects, so we shall see !

I’ve had the same on Citalopram. I’ve reduced right down to 5mg and it isn’t as bad but I’ve still got it. I have been on Setraline before but it didn’t affect me in the same way. It’s just horrible. I look as if I’ve just come out of the shower sometimes as my scalp just pours.

Yes I'm in 25mgs and I get loads of hot flushes but I'm not constantly sweating.

I dont understand how it causes hot flushes and sweating tho when it's working on the brain.
