ANy one know reasons / cures for dd age 3 who always suffers from sore ears when we're on a plane particularly when descending to land?

chewing a sweet or drinking something usually helps - it is caused by the difference in pressure between the cabin and the ears and swallowing helps to equalise it.

some more tips here

Dd also really suffers with that problem. I try to give her a lolly and tell her to suck really hard on it when the landing time comes, and last time we had those vicks inhale stick things as we had a bit of a cold and if the nose isn't completely clear it can also cause problems. Maybe someone knows some other remedy though.

cheers, the sucking thing should work but last time her ears got so sore before she gave the lollipop a chance so she threw the lollipop at me!
