6 MONTHS POST TRANSPLANT UPDATE

6months! can you belive it, 6months!

well things are going well. peter is now on monthly appointments for all his check ups with one blood test done in the middle, so the m25 is now only a once in a while trip rather than daily. he has little to no rejection since the lovely new heart was transplanted.

he can now drive again, and is enjoying doing little errands for me. the girls adore having him home all the time.

its amazing still, to wake up each morning and realise its all ok and things are normal again. ok, he still has to get up, wiegh himself, take his temperature and take a daily cocktail of drugs, but once thats over, then the day can begin properly and normally.

he has been to the zoo, taken the girls swimming, been to the park, the lakes etc. and has started to apply for an OU course to get his brain working again.

can you really believe its been 6months? i cant. the 6months before transplant dragged on with no end in sight. they were hell on earth and each day was endured the best we could.

but now, wow. pink peter is amazing
