Vaginal bleeding on cerazette?

Hi,

I've been breastfeeding my baby for 15 months now. I've been on cerazette since she was about a month old. She only has one BF a day - and i shall probably drop it soon as I'm running out of cerazette and i think it is just time to stop. I'm planning on going to the docs tomorow to get my old pill - that i took before getting pregnant - celeste.

Today i have started bleeding. it has been over 2 years since i had a period but it looks period like - v dark red/brown. I don't know why after all these months it has suddenly started.

can anyone shed any light on this?

I use cerazette - it's supposed to stop you bleeding regularly. I never know now when I'm going to come on, but it does happen. The periods are generally lighter tho. It sounds like you were jsut at that point in your hormones when your cycle restarts. I remember my 1st period after BFing - hadn't had one for 2 years and I think my body was making up for it. Painful.
