Suger free jelly sweets, Laxative.

Just a general warning about Sugar free jelly sweets. They are a very strong laxative, I know. I had about 8 of the double cherry shaped jelly sweets last night, and was still on the toilet at 4am. The accompanying wind was enough to fill a blimp as well.
But it could also be useful to know if you ever have a constipated child.

Oh yes, don't I know about that one. DD ate a whole packet of sugar free cool mints once. She was in agony hours after. Really, bad stomach pains and diarrhoea. Don't touch the things anymore.

If I recall, they do actually have a warning printed on the packets with regards to having a laxative effect. I had read it but didn't take it seriously. Wish I had now.

Same here, about the warning. My Mum wants some as she suffers from constipation a lot.

Ah yes. Can I just add a warning - avoid Thornton's Diabetic Toffee (or at least don't do what I did and eat the whole packet ).

I had such bad wind and diarrhoea that I actually pulled a muscle in my side!
