I had symptoms leading up to this, with initial aches, fever, sore throat, swollen glands - this was all in February. Then after it for a month or so I sort of had a roving sore throat. Like, it would be a bit swollen on the left one day, then on the next ok, then a few days later swollen again. My tongue also got gradually more and more swollen.
Then, suddenly, I was in a bad way with another high fever, aches, blisters on my tongue, swollen tongue, cough, shards of glass in my throat, and then I had antibiotics after testing positive for Strep A. I felt great while on them.
The day after the antibiotics, muscle aches are back, my tongue feels slightly swollen and I can feel a slight pain in my throat. The cough comes back a bit. So I go to urgent care as my doctor is closed. They do a swab for loads of things including Strep, but it comes back negative. Wtf? They made me feel like I was mad, suggesting it was just another virus. So I thought maybe it was.
But fast forward to now, two weeks later, and I've had the roving swollen throat, mild swollen tongue, this weird lump-like pain when I swallow where I think my thyroid might be (but had that checked two months ago), and a cough in the exact same place as before (the right side of my chest). It must be the same thing, surely?!
I've had full blood works done within the last two months and a swab for all kinds of infections and bacteria, but, nothing?!
Has anyone ever had this? I'm so fed up with this.
