Waiting for test results

Anyone else want to join me in waiting for test results?

I probably have breast cancer. Consultant reckons it's "highly unlikely" my biopsies will come back benign. I am like a cat on a hot tin roof after only three days of waiting. And I have an estimated 2-3 weeks to wait plus idk whether they'll send me for an MRI too before they tell me anything solid, so could be longer. Plus bank holidays will probably slow things a bit more.

Turns out I am SHIT at waiting!!

I'm not surprised you're anxious. If it's cancer hopefully it's caught early, and they can do wonders these days can't they. Have you got a lump?
Easy for me to say and I don't blame you if you don't feel like it, but can you fill your time with friends and family, so you have lots of support, a good partner? X

Thank you. Yes, I found one lump and they've found more/lymph node involvement.

DH is great thankfully. We are about to take the DC for a walk. Struggling to distract myself but trying my best!

I'm waiting for a breast MRI, 10 days in and hoping they call soon. (I have bloody nipple discharge which is being investigated). Really sorry that you're waiting too AllotmentTime. It's total balls. Hoping you get the call and a plan in place asap!!!

waiting is horrible, and treatment can be too, but outcomes are very positive

@BigGreen it's so shit waiting isn't it!! Hope you get your results soon and that they're good. We have timed this badly doing it mid strikes and bank hols, haven't we 🤣

Having done a bit more googling I suspect MRI is going to be the next thing I'll get. So even if I have cancer there will probably be more waiting for an MRI and then for the results of it before there's an actual plan. Sigh 🙄 I'm making my peace with it a bit more though, getting slightly better at not thinking "cancercancercancer" all damn day!! Could easily be a couple more weeks so I need to get over myself a bit 🤣

Yes I was thinking the same about a million bank hols, strikes and all the rest, AllottmentTime. Hope the MDT are still able to get together to give us next steps. Hope everyone gets their call soon and it's the best possible news x
