Thyroid lump

Nicetoseeyou1980 · 29/04/2023 10:45

I found a lump and what I now know is my thyroid a couple of weeks ago.
Was seen by the doctor last Wednesday and she advised blood tests.
Blood tests were booked for the later part of May.

I got home and had a phone call from the doctor to say she has put me on the 2 week pathway and that she will do bloods tomorrow as can not wait.
Had the bloods done and I have an appointment with ENT next week.

I had a phone call from the doctors receptionist to say the doctor would like to discuss my bloods and that will be the 10th of May.
Which I know it can't be anything to worrying but it's annoying the not knowing.

Just wondering for people that have already gone through this what will sort of happen when I see the ENT?
Thanks

Hi @Nicetoseeyou1980
I had this a few months ago. My thyroid blood test (TSH) was normal and I was referred on the 2 week pathway. I had an ultrasound scan of my thyroid and a scope down my nose.
Scan showed a few thyroid nodules (biggest is about 3cm) but they look benign (colloid cysts) so no further action.
Do you have any symptoms?

I do have symptoms of thyriod disease but a lot of them can be peri menopause as well.
The lump doesn't give me any symptoms though.
