Can't pee since having sex

Dh and I dtd about 8/9 hours ago. I haven't been able to pass urine since. I feel full and need to go but can't, currently in the Bath to see if that helps but I can't seem to relax enough to let myself go. I did nhs 111 and it says see gp . I can't imagine going till potentially Tuesday though, how long would you give it until you went to urgent care (no out of hours dept near me)

I hope you have gone to A&E, this most definitely is an emergency.

This is going to sound weird but try squatting over a bowl/jug and pulling on your public hair. Was recommended to me by a physio after having a caesarian and I had problems weeing and this sorted it out straight away.

Had a catheter thing to empty my bladder (not one that stays in, didn't even know these were a thing! Feel so so much better, got to stay for a little bit (not admitted, just in the assessment area) to make sure I'm ok (and hopefully wee)

They let me go home before I had a wee but said to come back for further investigation if still can't go. Happy to report I have peed normally since thank god

Not totally, just said it could have been some kind of inflammation/trauma from sex (it was normal sex!) but just to keep an eye if it happens again
