Syndol Original is out of stock everywhere. Is there anything similar with the muscle relaxant ? It was the only thing that shifts my tension headaches

Original Syndol, gone again! Was the only solution for my neuralgia and insomnia. Any other solutions please. Or tablets to take along side the new ta mirror format please.

neilyoungismyhero · 08/05/2023 22:58

Co Codamol is what I took the last time this happened years ago. Cheaper too. I stuck with them even when Syndol came back.

EmilyJames01 · 09/05/2023 12:53

I take co codamol 30/50 when Syndol not available. Only prob is constipation after a few days.

Did the original come back? How did I miss this! Not just the watered down paracetamol and codeine one but the proper I'm off my face but my headache's gone one?

NailsHairNipsHeels · 10/05/2023 09:40

It's been a bugger to get here since it first went out of stock.

I suffer with horrendous tension headaches but found solpedeine max tablets along with aspirin work wonders. If I can add heat too that really helps.

EmilyJames01 · 10/05/2023 11:39

Came back for few years but gone again 😒

Great description! I too am desperately hunting for these. Wish I had stocked up on more when they were available. I hope they come back.

Elzibub · 23/12/2023 19:51

You have to get them imported from
south Africa now. A company called painselect online and it costs Aprox £45 for 100 but If like me you find they are the only thing that works it’s worth it

VikingLady · 23/12/2023 20:06

The ingredients were codeine, paracetamol and doxylamine succinate. You can buy that online on its own - look for Kirkland's Sleep Aid. It's not cheap, but you get a lot in a bottle and you can take one with an over the counter Co-codamol.

momsybear · 23/12/2023 20:10

It's gone again? 🤦🏼‍♀️ only thing that ever helped my tension headaches bit been pregnant or breastfeeding for last 3 years. Was really looking forward to DD giving up the boob so my tension would go 😢

Marmunia10666 · 03/01/2024 13:11

I use Zimseller each time they go out of stock. Very reliable. You can even buy a 100 pack that will last a year! I need them as my eyes and forehead get very sore on the computer.

Whereland · 03/01/2024 14:14

I had completely forgotten these tablets existed! I took one years ago for a headache and almost fell asleep at the wheel.. just made it home and passed out on the sofa. They became my go to for insomnia after that..

Is Zimseller legitimate and safe? I always worry buying medication online! But Syndol original is the only thing that works for my headaches.

DanceMumTaxi · 01/02/2024 21:23

Have you tried veganin? Syndol was my go to as well for a bad headache but these are good. Not as good as Syndol, but pretty close.

EmpatheticAnnie · 02/02/2024 21:58

No I’ve not tried those. I think it the doxy (can’t remember full name) part that made the difference with syndol 😫

Elzibub · 03/02/2024 07:30

Hi yes it’s the muscle relaxant Doxylamine that really helps 😊

DanceMumTaxi · 03/02/2024 08:29

Is there anything similar you could take alongside a paracetamol based medicine? Just the muscle relaxant bit?

Elzibub · 03/02/2024 13:44

Kirkland’s sleep aid is doxylamine so I guess co codamol and Kirkland would give the same effect but I think the Kirkland’s is 25mg and syndol is 8mg doxylamine

I remember taking Syndol in the late 90s and it sent me to sleep. I couldn't keep my eyes open at work! I didn't have to drive, though.
