Fibroids + Anemia aftermath…

For those with anemia and fibroids, does anyone know how long it takes for iron levels to improve after fibroid removal?
i had a ferritin value of 6 and hemoglobin of 96, which resulted in a having a 5cm fibroid removed plus a uterine ablation as periods were beyond heavy for over 2.5 years. Bleeding has been significantly reduced. Wondering how long it takes to see levels improve. I’m also on iron supplement (always have been).
it has been almost three months since the surgery.

When you say iron supplement, do you meant OTC or are you prescribed ferrous fumerate or ferrous sulphate or something?
They generally retest blood tests around 3 months. I’d think someone should have though about an iron infusion at that level though.

I’m on carbonyl iron OTC. Tried ferrous funerary but it just destroyed me! I did not have an iron infusion as there was concern over allergic reaction as I am anaphylactic.
