Electric toothbrushes?

Mine has died. Any recommendations for a replacement? Are there benefits in going for sonar, or the ones with different heads for cleaning, whitening etc?

there is an episode on electric toothbrushes on bbc sounds 'sliced bread'.
have a listen.

we use the basic oral b one which is around the 50£ mark.
works well enough.
we look out for bogof deals for brush heads.
