I requested a blood test recently as through winter it’s felt like I’ve been picking up cold / bugs every month. I spoke to the doctor who said they are seeing a lot of it and it’s probably due to weekend immune system from covid / lockdown and kids bringing germs back from school etc, but he agreed for me to have a blood test for piece of mind.
Blood test last week, called doctors today and there was a note on the system to say the lab had reported an issue with the blood test and needs to be redone, apparently they are in the middle of some changeover having some issues with blood tests matching up or something, the receptionist said a few times it wasn’t my sample it’s an issue at the lab end.
Ive booked in to have it re done, next available appointment is in a couple of weeks, so feels like I’m just waiting now. Just wondering if anyone else has had this before? Can’t help worrying!
