A few days ago I noticed a lump below my sternum. It's under the skin but feels quite large and round. It's very painful to touch and I've started getting shooting pains throughout my stomach and round into my back if I have a big meal. I don't think it's the xyphoid process and I feel like a hernia would be softer/more malleable? It's really hard.
I've been to the Dr who thought it might be a lipoma but as I have private health insurance he's referred me for a scan.
Anyone had anything similar? What did it turn out to be?
