Dry socket, Infected, or Righr Healing process

I Got my tooth Extracted This last saturday And Im A Lil Worrie I dont know if i Have Dry socket, Infected Or Is properly Healing I need your guys Advice

Hi. If it's a dry socket it's likely to be extremely painful. If it's not painful then hopefully that's not an issue. The black-looking stuff might simply be the plug of blood that's meant to be there. Hopefully it's feeling better now.

You'd know if you have dry socket. Absolutely kills and smells too 🤢

Dry socket was one of the worst pains I’ve ever had. I thought I had an ear infection at first because it felt that’s where the pain was coming from. Literally head-bangingly painful.

its normal for your jaw to feel stiff and sore after an extraction and for a throbbing pain if you lay flat but if it’s incredibly painful to the point you can’t wait for the next dose of painkillers to try take the edge off it then I’d suspect infection or dry socket. The relief when the socket was cleaned out and packed was instant and blessed. Hope it heals ok OP. Try sleep propped up a bit if you can.

Have you been back to your dentist. I would. They can assess it and decide whether any treatment required. Usual treatment is yo flush it out and pack it with alvogyl. Occasionally they can encourage a new clot to form. Occasionally an antibiotic and/or analgesics are required

I’ve had dry socket twice and would have happily chopped my head off if I could have, it is unbearable pain, you would definitely know if you have it.
