So in June last year I had a hysterectomy leaving my ovaries taking everything else and then in the October got rushed into hospital from work and they removed my gall bladder
ever since I’ve had constant stomach pain , bloated stomach and either constipated or diarrhoea . I’ve just not been right
I’ve been back in hospital 3 times since and they said pancreatitis then gastritis. I’m now under a consultant awaiting ct scan and a camera down
I feel like I can feel a lump or something inside if that makes sense on my left
I’m coming off cosier and put on amitripyline and I take omesperole and can anti sickness tablet
I’m awake at night in pain and having night sweats and always in pain with my stomach
it’s effecting everything my job my relationship.
just wandered if anyone had similar etc
im 39 but feel like a 70 yr old

The gallbladder collects bile then releases it when you’ve eaten fat. When the gallbladder is removed the bile just drips constantly which can be disturbing to our stomachs. After my gallbladder was removed it was a while before I could eat fatty food again comfortably. Hopefully your doctor will be able to rectify the issues you’re having in the mean time I found Buscopan very helpful, you can buy it at the supermarket. Good luck!

I'm afraid I still have some symptoms 10 years on!
You can Google post colycystechtomy pain.
It should improve though.

A friend had this and it turns out they remove the gallbladder buy not the duct and she still had stones in the duct that they never knew about.

Thankyou
I think when your in so much pain you just feel so alone my tummy is so bloated I look pregnant at times
I’ve been told until they know more to not eat
any dairy ie milk
gluten
spicy food
carbonated drinks and alcohol
so it’s pretty boring and expensive to shop at mo xxx

Unfortunately it sounds like chronic pancreatitis.
But, I am not a doctor.

adriftabroad · 24/04/2023 17:46

When you eat salad or fruit, what happens?

Seekingadvice40 · 24/04/2023 18:20

Repeats on me and excuse tmi but goes straight through me and gives my terrible stomach cramps

It doesn[t sound like acute, but chronic pancreatitis.
They should see you sooner. Malabsorbtion of fresh fruit/salad is typical. I got diagnosed with chronic, but was acute (that[s why I know about it, quite alot about it)
However, gallstones can cause pancreatitis, so it could all be linked.

Is your poo pale?

I wouldn[t eat any fatty foods at all. Poor you. Flowers

Seekingadvice40 · 24/04/2023 22:26

Sorry fell asleep all these meds knock me out a little and yes quite pale and I’m cut fat out completely too at the mo
