Any tips to ease it? I have Fiflop lace up trainers which I wear a lot. I've been rolling my foot on a spiky ball. A month now and it's not easing at all. What worked for you?

OP thank you for this thread ...though I am sorry that you had to due to pain .

I don't know if I have full PF ...but my feet hurt to walk .

I am always bare foot/socks indoors apart from the kitchen which has cold floors !
I wear crocs in the kitchen.

Can anyone suggest what they wear indoors as slippers ?

Crocs do slippers, I have pink spotty fluffy ones £50 from JD Sports.

Thank you for all the replies, especially the advice about calf stretches. I'm going to give that a go as well and see if it makes any difference. I've even put Crocs on to go for my 2am wee which has alleviated the painful hobble to the loo when I'm half asleep!

last summer constantly wearing crocs sandals barefoot sorted mine out. I have lined crocs as slippers as well now. Can manage with lace up etnies for cold weather but not much else as the pain comes back quickly.

I had that, many years ago. I tried several prescribed painkillers, different trainers, exercises by a Physiotherapist, insoles from a Podiatrist. The only thing that worked was a steroid injection at the doctor's.

Brooks trainers outside and lightweight rubber birkenstocks inside, sorted it in matter of days. Never go barefoot

Stand in the bottom stair with only the balls of your feet and toes on the stair itself. Let your body weight take your heels blow the level of the stair. No bouncing, just a gradual stretch. Repeat at least 4 times a day. 😊

I had these flip flops with instep support as I tend to wear flip flops around the house. I didn't find else helped. It would even hurt when I was sitting down.

I had PF over lockdown, bloody painful and I tried exercises at first which didn’t seem to help much then got:-

  • Vionics mule slippers
  • Juva walking trainers from Shuropody shop
  • got half insoles after podiatrist appointment who told me to wear proper shoes/trainers etc
  • Tens pen from Boots
  • spiky and red ball rollers (Boots)

to be honest I didn’t really use the latter two much.

I did ensure I walked still and have lost almost a stone (bar 4llb) this year, weightloss helps.

I liked wearing nicer shoes so after posting here I found I could wear AF1s, NB that everyone’s wearing (327?) and Birkenstocks. I also found Forever Comfort shoes on Next and got nice heeled suede ankle boots and a pair of glittery stilletoes. I’ve never really got on with Fitflops though I do have a pair of their ballet pumps.

Similar to others I did exercises for a while, never went bare foot, woke up one day and it just went overnight! I did find if I wore eg Adidas Gazelles with no inserts then it could flare up again so I’m mindful to be careful what I wear though.
