so i got given beta blockers to try.
i started them nearly 3 weeks ago, then i started noticing my face had a rash under the skin and itching all over . I stopped them yesterday, just wondering when should the it hu burny skin go away? My lips feel burny still :( worried if its not the meds now :’( x

You would normally expect any reactions/adverse effects to happen more quickly than three weeks after starting the medication. It may be a reaction to something else. I'd ring the pharmacy you got the tablets from for some advice.

It also depends on the exact medication, all will take different lengths of time for them to be removed from the body fully. So without knowing what medication it was it would be difficult to advise.

@DeathMetalMum sorry i mean ive been taken it all in all for 3 weeks. Itching and facial rash started 3-4 days after starting it.

its bisoprolol a beta blocker , my lips hust feel weird. I havent changed anything i eat , no cream nothing :( its annoying me sooo much xx

@DeathMetalMum thankyou! Ill go back to my gp tomorrow if it doesnt feel like its going away. Im taking upto 3 antihistamines like he said i could.
its worrying me alot :( x

Some times, few medications causes some side effects in the body. But it is temporary. If you have these issues for long term, please seek medical attention.
