Do your gums look red, or white? Could be lichen planus triggered by a virus

Limboingnow · 17/04/2023 22:18

Try genigel from a chemist. It helps the mouth heal itself and doesn't seem to have side effects

FadedRed · 17/04/2023 22:22

Any white patches in your mouth, Op, especially on your tongue? You could have oral thrush, it’s a common side effect of antibiotics. If it is you need some oral Nystatin.

Mouth burning causes due to Allergies or reactions to foods, food flavorings, other food additives, fragrances or dyes, dental materials, or mouth care products.

If you have this issue on short time, then don't worry about this issue. Take some medicine products to heal the flu and burning mouth. Otherwise, you should seek doctor help.

No I don't have any signs of gum problems just very painful ears along with burning sensation when I'm eating food which I'm struggling to do and I'm still on penicillin from GP oh god will the flu never be the same again 😢

I had a burning mouth for weeks, was agony. My tongue and roof of my mouth was burning and had ulcers in my cheeks. Hadn't had flu tho. Took antibiotics and they didn't help, turns out I was anaemic. Been taking iron tablets 3 times a day for 2 weeks so far and it's better. Worth checking out.

beebee83 · 21/04/2023 15:37

@JadeandGreen oh god I'm glad you resolved it dr has put me on strong vitamin supplements something to do with my hypo glad something like this but never thought to ask regarding my iron I might do as no way can I eat anything spicy doesn't even have to be a curry anything with a hint of flavour is killing me.
