Should I speak to a GP?

Hi everyone. At the weekend I suddenly lost a lot of my sense of taste. It hasn't gone completely, but it's definitely not right. I've done two Covid tests, and both are negative (also got no other symptoms of covid, and I know it well, as I've had it 3 times!).

The only thing I can think of is that I hit my head really hard on the corner of our wall mounted TV. I can't remember the exact day, maybe around 4 days ago. It was really painful, to the extent it floored me for a few seconds, but no loss of consciousness, and I was able to resume normal activities afterwards. There was no swelling or lump, and the area just feels bruised now.

This may sound utterly ridiculous, but could there be a link?! I honestly can't think what else would be causing a sudden loss of taste. Any ideas? I fear a GP would think I was crazy. 😂

They wouldn't think you are crazy. I would call my G.P in your situation.
